Happy Friday!

There are a few pretty trees in our town.  This one is in our park.  It helped to have the sun hitting it just right as I drove by the other evening.

Missouri isn't windy like Kansas and Oklahoma, but we have our moments.  It seems like every fall, the wind will pick up for at least a week or two and this year is no exception.  I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that most of the above pretty leaves have fallen since I took that photo.

Some very good news...BG's results from the stress test and echocardiogram came back good.  Thank you for your prayers.

My news...I suffered a terrible dizzy spell Thursday afternoon.  I wasn't home and had to call BG to come get me as I didn't want to risk driving.  I could barely walk.  Don't know what set this off, but it really scared me.

I was really stopped up, from allergies I suppose, and had a hard time breathing through my nose.  Perhaps this triggered the dizziness.  After taking some Sudafed, I began to feel a little better.

My head still feels a little wonky and I am in the recliner writing this post in the wee hours.  I'm afraid to move very much and afraid to go lie down.  Keeping my head propped up and not moving it helps.

So, if you hear rumors that I was seen around town staggering, I haven't been chugging down the wine!  ☺  Hopefully I'll be able to catch a few winks soon and wake up good as new.

Take care and enjoy this last weekend of October.  Whew, I can't believe it is the last weekend!  Where did this month go?

Happy Friday to you!
xo Cheryl

  1. You're sure you weren't drinking, huh? I have had a couple of bouts of dizziness in my life and they were awful. Neither lasted long but it is scary when that happens. Hope it goes away and doesn't come back, Cheryl.

Have a great weekend....and that is a gorgeous picture. xo Diana

  2. Happy Friday to you Cheryl, I am so glad BG's test turned out okay. So sorry you are not feeling well, allergies are just as bad in the fall as spring. It sounds like you might have a touch of vertigo,.

  5. So glad BG's test came out good but don't like your problem. Could be inner ear, vertigo but also could be just dehydration. Remember Hillary needed help to get to her car and it was just dehydration. Drink a lot of water just in case, see a doctor and be better soon.

  6. Yay for good test results! Now you’ll call your doc if this dizziness continues, right? I have had a few bouts with it, but always at home. Unsettling! Take good care of yourself.

That tree is gorgeous. What a beautiful shade somewhere between red and rose...lovely!

  7. Cheryl, It is the not knowing that is stressful. don't you think? Happy about BG's good news. Hope you get some too. Take good care of yourself. Some times we women let our own health go while tending others. I loved that beautiful tree. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. Hooray for good test results!! Sounds like you have B.P.V. Benign Positional Vertigo. I have suffered from this for over 40 years. At it's worst I had to literally crawl!

  11. P.S. It is not dangerous or serious, so don't worry about that part of it.

  14. So glad to hear BG's test results are good, but I'm sorry about your dizzy spells. That can be really frightening! Every time my granddaughter gets a sinus infection it gets in her ears and she has terrible dizzy spells. In fact she has one now and there is a big cold front moving in here in Missouri. Maybe that is affecting your sinuses? We are in the KC area and expecting a freeze tonight. The weather changes always just make my arthritis act up!

  15. Hi Friend, Sorry about your dizziness... That is not something to ignore... As you know, I am "big" on vitamins... I know that several deficiencies may cause dizziness... Have your doctor check your iron levels for anemia.... Another may be a lack of Vit B12... AND another could be a lack of Magnesium.... Doctors don't always check for these things --especially as we age...

Glad your hubby is okay... I assume he is still working (climbing poles, etc.)... That is a hard job --but I know he must enjoy it. Don't know what we'd do without all of those people who take care of us like that....

We are finally getting a little color here --after a few cooler days. BUT--many of our leaves have already turned brown and just fallen from the trees... This is NOT our best year for Fall Colors here...

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  16. Oh my dear friend, I hope you are feeling better quickly. You might have an inner ear problem. It can start from allergies and nasel congestion. If it doesn't get better; look into that. I am so happy that you dear husband is OK. Waiting for test results are not fun.
I love fall photo; it is lovely! We have taken a quick trip to St. George, Utah to see family and it was such a lovely drive. It's warmer down here; so the leaves are just barely starting to turn to fall colors.
Sending prayers for you and lots of love and hugs too!

  17. I hope the dizziness is a one-time thing. I suffer with various degrees of dizziness all the time. I sure keeps me on my toes! I don't do ladders or uneven ground without some kind of assist. Driving doesn't bother me. Let us know how you are now.

  19. Hi Cheryl~

The tree is gorgeous! We haven't had all those gorgeous colors this year, thanks for sharing yours!

Good to hear that your hubby's tests came back good - but sad to hear that you are under the weather. It does sound like an inner-ear thing. That can really make you dizzy. A few months ago, I stood up in the night to close a window, got dizzy and passed out! I hit a chest at the foot of the bed, and had a terrible bruise on my back and arm. The Dr. said it was most likely low blood sugar, but he said inner ear was what he suspected...please be careful, and start feel well soon!

It's hard to believe that October is almost over - boy it went by quickly!

    Have a happy Halloween!!

    Hugs and Love,
    Barb

  20. I was in Missouri a couple weekends ago...visiting our daughter in St. Charles!

I have had a couple different times when vertigo hit, and it is not fun! Thankfully, mine did not last very long at all!
